Am I the editor for you?

For a nominal fee, I can provide a Line Edit, a Copyedit, or a Fusion Edit on a sample of up to 2500 words so that you can ‘dip your finger in the batter’ before committing to anything more extensive.

If, within a year, you then choose me as your editor for a complete project, I will deduct the cost of the Taste Test from the total amount of the project.

Taste Tests are a charged at a flat rate no matter the type of writing (fiction, non-fiction or memoir).

If you’re wondering why a Developmental Edit or a Manuscript Assessment aren’t offered as Taste Test options, it’s because 2500 words isn’t enough real estate for me to give a satisfactory ‘big picture’ assessment on. It just isn’t a big enough sample.

An EDIT 8000 edit provides a larger sample of your writing and is a better fit for sampling WordServings’ Developmental Editing and Manuscript Assessment offerings. It’s got the added bonus of allowing you to combine Developmental Editing with either or both Line Editing and Copyediting.
