Website Terms of Use

WordServings
Effective Date: 2025-09-17 • Last Updated: 2025-09-17

This page sets out the rules for using the WordServings website. It protects both you and us. If you hire us for services, a separate written agreement will apply. By using our website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Plain English Summary of Our Terms

Welcome to WordServings. We’ve written the full Terms of Use below to cover all the legal details, but here’s what they mean in everyday language:

  • Your use of the site: You’re welcome to browse, learn, and contact us. Please don’t misuse the site (for example, by copying our content, spamming, or trying to break security).
  • Intellectual property: The words, images, and design on this site belong to us. You can link to our pages, but please don’t copy or reuse our materials without permission.
  • What you share: If you send us comments or testimonials, you keep ownership but allow us to display them. Any manuscripts or project materials you provide as a client are governed by your service agreement with us, not by these website terms.
  • Third-party links: Sometimes we link to other sites or tools. We can’t control those, so use them at your own risk.
  • Privacy: We respect your privacy. Our separate Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
  • No guarantees: While we strive to give excellent service, the website content is provided “as is,” without guarantees. Testimonials are real but results may vary.
  • Limits on liability: If something goes wrong with the website, our responsibility is limited to CAD $100 (or the equivalent in your currency).
  • Law that applies: These Terms are governed by the laws of Prince Edward Island, Canada.
  • Updates: If we change these Terms, we’ll update the date at the top. By continuing to use the site, you agree to the new version.

If you have any questions, please reach out at hello@wordservings.com.

10) Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind—express, implied, or statutory—including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WordServings and our officers, directors, contractors, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill; or service interruption; arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Site, even if advised of the possibility.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for claims arising out of or relating to the Site will not exceed CAD $100 (or the equivalent in your local currency).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations; in those cases, the above applies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms affects rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

12) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless WordServings from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your misuse of the Site; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.

13) Copyright complaints (DMCA-style)

If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, please send a notice including: (1) your contact details; (2) a description of the work claimed to be infringed; (3) the exact URL/location of the allegedly infringing material; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; (5) a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, you are the rights owner or authorized agent; and (6) your physical or electronic signature.
